Good heavens! I have a front tire that has been slowly losing air, so when the wife got home to watch the spud I went to the Swifty gas station right off hwy 62 near Hanover to put a little air in it before it slipped my mind again. I get there, and you'd think OPEC had announced an embargo. There was probably 10 cars there when I pulled up and more kept arriving. Eventually, there was a line STICKING OUT IN THE HIGHWAY!! This one senile old goat pulled up and blocked the exit, so I had to wait for her to move up before I could even leave. At Wal-Mart people always flock in to get bread, milk, and eggs. Anyway, it's just a snowstorm, not WWIII. People are nuts!!!

I have to go to work anyways at 7 AM--so I figure it's not worth my time to fight crowds trying to get stuff for the snow tonight.

Maybe they new there was a 30 cent hike coming. The station on the corner had a new price of $2.98 posted. A mile away it was still $2.79. I pulled in and filled up and saved $2.28.... Every little bit helps when you are a poor, retired, living on fixed income senior citizen..

At 7:45 yesterday I filled up at $2.79, when I went to lunch at noon the same station was $3.08. Someone mentioned snow, so the trap was set, and the gas stations collected all they could.

Same reason deer hunting is good before a front moves in. Pick em off as they head to the all natural food store!
