Who makes the new 30-30 bullet that have the pointed tip, instead of the blunt point? And how does it work meaning not to accidentally fire the bullet it is seated behind. Steady

Hornady makes them. the tips are real soft rubber or plastic that wont punch the primer and fire the bullet ahead of it in the magazine tube. h.h.

On that subject...has anyone tried the new Hornady shotgun slugs that have those tips on them? I was thinking about trying them this year and seeing how they shoot.

I shoot them. They work really well. I shot 3 deer and my dad shoot 10 last year with them. The accuracy is good and the trajectory is pretty flat.
