Take your fly rod or spinning rod. The trout should be going on a big feed. IF ya wanna catch huge trout- drive over to Cherokee- tag is about the same, but the trout are bigger, more numerous and you can keep more of them. This past spring, I caught a wild brookie in the park on a fly, and then went over to Cherokee and my son and I put the hurt on some big trout. Your wife can shop the indian stores and let you fish 50-100 yards away!
You might want to check about hunting in the adjoining areas about hunting.

Actually there is hunting in the park: by licensed officials: and they hunt down ferral hogs. The hogs cause quite a bit of damage to the park eco system since the soil is very thin. Their rooting and foraging disturb the roots of many species from small to tall. Federal Wildlife agents hike deep into the park in search of the numerous hog concetrations.
