I am telling my age and financial situation. How many out there remember when there were no stands for sell, and did not like to built wooden stands, and like to find trees where the deer traveled by, plus how high did you get. I shot most of my early deer and really much bigger deer, when I would follow a deer trail, and if one passed a big oak tree that I could jump into, I would jump up and hang and throw one of my legs around the limb and climb up, and then hunt on that limb or go a little higher. It was amazing then how long I would be able to stay put. Steady ;D

Hunted without stands on a limb many times. Used to nail up some real death traps too.
No more. I'll sit on the ground before I do that.
