Did a bunch of tree stand prep yesterday, trimming limbs, etc. Would have liked to do it sooner, but first chance I've had.
Anyway ...eight stands are good to go, leaving plenty of options along with using the climber.

Still got three climbers to check out. h.h. Thought you could only use one at a time? ;D My climber is ready to go, I've got enough lumber for two more ladder stands that I need to get built. I know where one of them will be going, but I don't know where another one will go. I may make another hang-on stand and use the lumber for a ladder for that. Put up a ladder stand and a ladder (with no hang-on- forgot it at home ) in my family woods in Tippecanoe Co. yesterday...

Put mine up a month ago. Always hope they do not get stolen or damaged waiting for the season to open.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I was better off when I could only afford ONE stand. Then I didn't have to worry about which one to hunt! Now like you guys, I have several to choose from, and all I seem to do it fret that I made the WRONG choice

One good thing about wooden ladder stands is that they would be hell to steal one of them. I always have the intentions of making a simple ladder stand, but before its over i have enough room for a small car in the stand w/me!

Yep, it would be a b*tch to steal mine, that's for sure! It's all 2x6 material, with the exception of the seat, which has some 4x4 pieces and a 2x8 seat board. I'm guessing the 12' stand wieghs 200++ pounds. It was about all I could do to put it up by myself on Sunday, and if I couldn't have braced the bottom of the ladder against the base of the tree, there's no way I could have done it. Thought about moving it to a different tree but that would have been a major PITA! The 15' wooden ladder I built probably wieghs 50-60 pounds- it's all 2x4.
