We made our first visit of the year to the Five Points Conservation Club (Five Points & Thompson Rd, Indianapolis) last night, for the blind trap shoot.
This is a weekly shoot and it is alot of fun. The folks who shoot here are very nice and always welcome new shooters. You don't have to be a member of the club to shoot!
Rounds cost non-members $4.00 each and thats for 25 clay targets!
This is a real fun way to spend a Thursday evening!
My son shot a 12ga last night at the shoot, I think he has out grown his 20ga....lol
Actually I think the girl that was there shooting her 12ga made him think....maybe he should be shooting one!

Amazing what the challenge of a woman can do to a young mans thinking! My local club shut down a few years ago and i miss the shoots. we use to shoot on Wed and Thurs nights. the next closest club is 35 miles away. h.h.

That's not too far a drive for me and my grandson loves to shoot clay pigeons. Maybe we'll make it some night. What are the hours?

There's also the Indiana Gun Club north of Geist off Olio Road on 106th St (I think that's right... last turn east before you cross the causeway)...
Will be down there Wednesday evening starting at 6pm for my son's 4-H shooting sports first clays of the season... it's a very nice range, reasonable prices, and friendly folks running the range...
This will be his third year bustin' clays down there, and we've always had a great time...

I've never been to the Indiana Gun Club but I sure do hear about it, all the fellas at Five Points talk about it, they say it's a first class club!

Yep - they've got a full voice control setup for trap, skeet and sporting clays, and areas with picnic tables for grilling... gun shop and large selection of new/used guns, and you can try any of the used firearms on the range before buying...
The Hamilton County 4-H kids will be there the next several Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm, so if you're in the area, stop on by... we're usually on the far west traps... I'll be wearing an IU camo cap and gray beard...
