Your thoughts....
Do you think this will be a record deer harvest year?
Last season saw two new deer harvest records being made.
Total deer at – 125,526
And
Adult females at – 44,286
The adult bucks were at 52,488 and surpassed only by the 2004 season at 54,743.
The question is – Do you think this will be a record deer harvest year?
YES – it will be a record Total Harvest ONLY.
YES – it will be a record Total and Adult Females
YES – it will be a record Total, Adult Females and Adult Males.
YES - it will be a record for Adult Females ONLY
YES – it will be a record for Adult Males ONLY
YES - it will be a record for Adult Females and Adult Males ONLY
NO – it will not be a record in any category.

I would think the buck harvest would stay close to the same as it has over the past 12 seasons. With the antlerless qoutas changed I think it will cause a new record antlerless which will cause a new overall record.

I look for a total record harvest for sure, possibly a record for adult does, bucks will most likely stay about the same. If the buck harvest moves much, I would expect it could edge higher. Good thing the OBR is saving more of them- ;D

If it's not a record year, it won't miss it by much. I'm certainly going to try my best to add to the total.

Probably a record year for B&C and HRB entries. You can thank OBR for some of that success.

I'll vote for the triple record harvest. The doe harvest should continue to be up and with the limit change I expect it to top last years record yet again. I also think the buck harvest will be well above the last years kill and even the record of '04. A lot of 1.5 y.o. bucks running around and fewer acorns than last year should help set the record.

And the whole congregation said....... Amen. And those outside of the congregation said, .....Give it a freekin rest. ? With this being the last year of the OBR trial, it`s going to be a topic of conversation, again, because proponents and opponents are going to be pushing their agendas to the DNR.

And those outside of the congregation said, .....Give it a freekin rest. ? With this being the last year of the OBR trial, it`s going to be a topic of conversation, again, because proponents and opponents are going to be pushing their agendas to the DNR. And once the decision is made about OBR, it will be something else that comes and takes it's place. The arguments never change, just the topics. I'm beginning to think that OBR was pushed by anti's so they could cause a diversion on something that isn't that important and cause further division amongst hunters. While we spend so much freeking time and energy on an issue that really hasn't hampered anything other than a person's ability to shoot two bucks (although there are opportunities to still do that in the state), the anti's will backdoor us on an issue that really does matter because we're so busy fighting each other on a different issue altogether. I guess what I'm saying is that in my mind, we have much more important things to worry about. If they bring back a 2 buck rule, great. If they don't, great. The hunting is still good in Indiana either way.
