Don't know if anyone else caught this week's episode of "Ciminal Minds".... Two crazed brothers raised as orphans by a serial killer who hunted people in the Spokane, Washington woods, boys are now on their own and following the family tradition, abducting people from cars, transporting them to the woods and bowhunting them.... lots of great anti-hunting commentary throughout... I've enjoyed the show up to this point, but this little gem is going to earn CBS a letter from your truly...

I saw it and was disgusted. I just shook my head the whole time.

I'm not a fan of the show, but CBS seems to make a habitat of airing episodes that do this sort of thing. I can think of a couple of other shows on that station that did similar episodes during the height of their respective popularity. CBS doesn't seem to put much stock in our complaints.

I agree with this observation. I am a CSI Las Vegas fan and sometimes see a "slanted" perspective presented in favor of the anti's on that show. It's disappointing to think that Criminal Minds would be "slanted" as well, because that show was good too, but I guess with CBS it's just a matter of time before anything--even the news--has a anti-leaning slant...

Oh! Tell me if i'm right about this.....Mom told me one of those shows was going to feature a bow, and I predicted:
" They will probably be portrayed as people that started hunting and of course the natural progression would be to start killing people. Also, there will be lots of high-brow banter between the cast throughout the show about hunting, most likely negative. Quasi-intellectual cheap shots and the like."
I tried to tell mom these kinds of shows are made for urbanites and almost always have an anti-gun or anti-hunting undercurrent. Did it live up to what I said?

Watched it. As with the CSI try at it, they were far from the facts of the equipment being used. I'm sorry, but center mass (stomach) with field tips is not going to drop a person dead in their tracts. They really needed some broad head commentary, and blood trail footage. btw....Who shoots arrows that leave a hole the size of a .22 round. I didn't think carbons were that small.

Misinformation is 1,000 times more effective than anything else known to man. Who cares about the truth when the other version has drama . . .

I've got some really narrow carbons I'm thinking of using this fall... However, the outsert for the tip is just as big as a normal carbon...... I've been very impressed with the penetration I've been getting from them so far.
Any of the "outsert" (as opposed to "insert") carbons will be narrow shafted.

My mom taped it for me, and I watched it today. It wasn't as bad as I expected. Of course, one could take offense to the basic premise, that hunters got bored with critters and progressed to people. But then again, they pointed out in the story that they were nuts in addition to being hunters. At the end they repeated that old corny (and untrue ) quote that only man kills for pleasure. I could have done without that. As has already been pointed out, the story had the usual humorous inaccuracies you would expect to see when city people write about hunting. The killers, lifelong hunters, were using field points. They also shot people at 25 feet and the arrows never went through. The agents asked the person at the gun shop if she kept records of who bought hunting arrows, lol. Only a diseased liberal mind would think of a question like that. I bet all the commies would like to record who has arrows and the like.
I have to say if it had been a CSI episode, it would have probably been worse in terms of anti-hunter B.S.
