I'm 100% in favor of Less gun control across the board.
If we put, and keep the criminals in prison (and initiate the death penalty in a reasonable amount of time), then this would be a non-issue. Remember this during the upcoming elections.

I agree that those who choose to use firearms responsibly should not have to face the undue restrictions they have to face sometimes as a result of criminals who choose to use guns irresponsibly to commit crimes. I also agree with what you said about putting and keeping criminals in prison and initiating the death penalty for those who commit crimes beyond the shadow of a doubt. Again, we need to target the behavior of those who choose to use materials irresponsibly, rather than the materials that are used irresponsibly.

My reason for posting this poll was driven by the Jim Zumbo fiasco. I'm a member of several gun boards where hunters are generally labeled as "Fudds". The people that are interested in just shooting and not particularly hunting seem to think that the majority of hunters are against firearms in general, unless they're "sporting" arms. As a hunter and a gun enthusiast, I disagree with that generalization.
I think if you're not a criminal, and not crazy, then you should be able to own whatever you want. The problem is the criminal, not the tool they choose to commit the crime. If that were the case, then congress should take a look at spoons, since they make people fat. ;D

It is a fact that ANY Gun Control Laws simply don't work to prevent gun crimes. They are just "feel Good" Laws that infringe upon Law abiding Gunowners. Dump All the current gun control laws, starting with the Gun Control Act of 1968!! The Criminals are going to always get guns to commit their crimes.

The people that are interested in just shooting and not particularly hunting seem to think that the majority of hunters are against firearms in general, unless they're "sporting" arms. As a hunter and a gun enthusiast, I disagree with that generalization. Unfortunately, I'm beginning to disagree less and less with that generalization. From the PCR Forum wars to the codgers at my club it certainly seems to me that "pro gun" hunters are lesser in number - or less vocal anyway - than "pro MY gun" hunters are. I'm constantly getting sideways looks because I don't isolate myself to just one clique, but shoot Flintlocks, BP Revolvers, PCRs, HPRs, IDPA/IPSC handguns/3-gun, Trap & Skeet, and am returning to Bowhunting as well. Apparantly that makes me weird and a little frightening. . See my sig.
