A fun way to kill time on the weekends...as if any of us really need to be doing that!! ;D A friend shared with me a site that contains face-recognition software and offers a demo in which you can upload a photo of yourself, and the site will match your facial features with those of celebrities from the site's database. www.myheritage.com/FP/Company/celebrities.phpI was: 73% Alyson Hannigan 71% Sally Field 71% Mary-Louise Parker 71% Brendan Fraser 68% Giacomo Puccini 67% Mira Nair 66% Josie Maran 66% Laura Bush 64% Reece Witherspoon 63% Holly Hunter I should upload a picture of a horse's behind and see if it comes up 100% Tom Cruise...

I've been told that I resemble George Carlin. Not real sure if that is good or bad.

My wife put my picture through one of those celeb look alike sites. It came back with Kurt Russell, which she laughed at and said "You don't look a damn thing like Kurt Russell!" I guess I can scrap my plans to star as Snake Plissken Jr. in "Escape from Decatur." It depends on the angle you are facing as to what the software will return. I think 3 of 3 angles said Kurt Russell, but other results were as varied as Neils Bohr to Parker Posey. Quite a range. I don't think I look much like Parker Posey either...maybe if I shaved my beard.

I think 3 of 3 angles said Kurt Russell, but other results were as varied as Neils Bohr to Parker Posey. Quite a range. I don't think I look much like Parker Posey either...maybe if I shaved my beard. You are right...the heads of the celebrities in all of the pictures it returned for me were all facing the same way as my head in the picture, which may have had something to do with it. I think that the software also took into consideration the angle of facial features, because all of the pictures it returned showed facial features in the same angle as those in my picture. I do think there is some resemblance in some of the pictures and not much in others, but any resemblance I see is more in particular facial features than complete facial similarities. I, for one, have never imagined that I looked anything like Alyson Hannigan or Sally Field (or especially Reece Witherspoon!!!). I especially don't want to look like Alyson Hannigan, as I played the flute for 7 years, including 5 years of high school "band camp" (I marched as an 8th grader--didn't do 5 years of high school!)!! ;D

I've got *some* "one time, at band camp" stories, but seeing as how I played the trombone and tuba, they won't be nearly as interesting as those that the flute players have. ;D

They and the other brass players were way more nuts than the flute players... ;D (But as you know nobody is as nuts as "the battery"!!)
