Hey guys... Been away from the PC all day, because... I've been seeing the sawbones. I am pretty sure that last night I was on line... I say pretty sure because the Hydracodone I was prescribed was both keeping my up and making me a bit loopy last night - AND I found my computer on this morning. (It's a laptop & I always shut it/shut it off...) The reason (beyond pain) I was prescribed the drugs is not entirely apparant yet, but will hopefully make itself known on my "Nurse, get him the first available exam @ the hospital on Monday Morning" visit. We'll see. Anyway, I hope I didn't post anything too weird. Time to check the PMs....

Don't worry, some of us make weird posts and we are not even on meds. ;D
Best of luck on your test results.

At least you had hydrocodone to blame for any verbal missteps... ;D I've had that stuff before, I got so gooned that my wife and son had to haul me bodily to bed, the whole time I was chanting "Throw that sheit down the toilet, I don't want no more..." Never again, I'd rather be in pain than be that stoned.

I am assuming the Doctor prescribed the hydrocodone as pills and not an injection? hydrocodone commonly used (short termed) as treatment for Arthrisis or any inflamation associated with Arthritis, and nerve involvements (injuries). It does produce some adverse side-affects that should be reported to the Doctor at once. Hope your condition improves. Here's a useful link: www.webmd.com/drugs/drug-251-Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen+Oral.aspx?drugid=251&drugname=Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen+Oral

Good luck with everything!

drs- he said hydrocodone, not hyrdocortisone. I'm not a chemist, but two different things.. THANKS, "danf"! I stand corrected, and I should have known better! I went back and made the necessary corrections. There are so many medications out there that have similar names & are easly confused.

Still waiting for details from the CAT & Oncology lab(s).... I sincerely hope your test(s) turn out to be negative for cancer, Old Ironsights. Whenever I hear the word "Oncologist" or Lab mentioned I can't help but think cancer. Several years ago I had a high PSA (8.6) and had to undergo a biopsy which was negative. It was the wait, for the results, that was really nerve-racking.

What is, is. My time in the Combat Arms taught me to not sweat the small stuff. Somthing is bound to kill me eventually.
Edit: I go see the surgeon tomorrow... some sort of abcess in the lower abdomen.
At least I'll get to look at the CAT scan to see for myself...
