There is still time to send in your registration for the drawings for Military/Refuge Deer Hunt and State Park Deer Reduction Hunt via the on-line registration system or by snail mail. Deadline for both on-line registrations is August 25, 2006. You can apply on-line at: www.in.gov/dnr/indianaoutdoor/ You will need your deer license number, along with your Hunter Ed card # (if you are claiming that as priority status), and for those state park reduction hunt sites which are bow-only, you must have either an International Bowhunter or Hunter Education Certificate to apply.

Why did they even grandfather clause people born before '84 if it was going to be required to have one anyway?

Personally I've been bow hunting and gun hunting deer in Indiana since 1964 and I don't think that anyone older than 18 needs or should have proof of their hunting abilities from the International Bowhunters or a Hunter Education Cert or a Hunter Ed Card..We should be Grand-Fathered into these hunting opportunties.....
