Yeah, I burn about 20-25 ricks per year.
Who needs a burning pen... I've got an Earth Stove. ;D
Sorry, can't help you on what you're after.

Blaze Queen free standing wood stove. Had it for about 30 years. Love it. Seen one a couple of weeks ago that goes outside of house, you can put it in a garage, has a huge fire area, heats water on outside of drum, works similar to an old steam heat system, can be hooked up to a heat pump and will heat you hot water too. Even heat the garage as well as the house. Pens ??

Yeah, I'd like to have an outdoor unit too.
LCB is talking about woodburning pens that you use to create various artistic looking things in a piece of wood... Now we've de-railed his thread... Sorry LCB!

I've got a CEMI (not made anymore) insert in my fireplace. It is probably 30 years old but still does the job.
It will heat my 1700 square feet house completly no matter how cold it gets outside.
Makes very little ashes..

I am sorry I got confused. Naturally happens to us old Hillbilly's, to much white lightning as a youngun. In all serious I have not seen anything in a wood burning pen thing since those that we got for Christmas 40-50 years ago.

Might be a good hobby if you have any artistic talent at all. If I want something of that nature and want it to look good I have to buy it. Good luck in your search.
