Hello, Just wanted to get the word out about Delta Waterfowl. It is a great cause, and there are 7 chapters here in Indiana. But we need you guys to help by signing up as members, you can make a difference in Indiana. Did you know that 25% of the total money made at a banquet can go to be used to put on youth hunts, provide kids with hats, shells, or even go towards scholarships. This is a great cause that I think everyone on here should at least look at to see what Delta Waterfowl is all about. You can contact me or I know you can get a hold of Scott Johnson in the Indy area. I am located in Evansville, Southwestern Indiana. If you are interested in being a member, please contact one of us or any other Delta member to join. By you joining as a member, you do not have to be on a committee, but you are allways welcomed. Please consider joining Delta Waterfowl today. I would be more than happy to give you more info if you would like. Thanks, Brian Ferguson Ohio River Delta Chapter Chairman

I am making YOUTH short reed goose calls for any youth out there that would like to have one for only $15.00, plus $4.00 for s&h. I hope that who orders these are ordering them for KIDS. The calls are made out of Ashwood, with the same call guts I put in all of my calls, so they are a true call, not some silly sounding manufactured call. These are the real deal. I will even put their name on the call if desired, just let me know. I will run this offer until Oct. 1st, so if you want it in time, get them ordered quick. These calls will make a great Christmas gift or just a gift that you love them. This would be a great first call, or to start their call collection off with. They will be ready to go. Just P.M me if you are interested in the call. only $15.00 plus shipping.

Yeah, You should see their faces when they are in their nice , pretty fiberglass boat fishing in your decoy spread, and you get in your old aluminum boat and pick up decoys and you hit their boat with your and scrape it. They really do not like that at all. We had that happen about 15 years ago, and we just accidently side swiped thier boat, put some nice scratches on their boat, my buddy pretended that he could not control the boat with the tiller handle. They started yelling, we laughed and told them it was just the same as them dragging our decoys with their lures on purpose. Never saw them again on that lake. Sorry to hear you problems, I would have called the c.o on them.

The Ohio River Delta Waterfowl chapter has a scholarship program . Each year we are giving away a $500.00 scholarship to a deserving youth who will be attending college. We support this with funds from our banquets, but we also need seperate donations to help support it each year. The donation is tax deductible. If anyone is interested or knows of a company that would be interested in donating to our scholarship, you may p.m. me for more details. Thank You, Brian

Well, took the boys out with the back just shooting pain all over the lower part of my back, hardly could walk. But the boys wanted to go, so we went to the youth dove hunt down here by Evansville. We had 2 doves come in from the backside, and came out in front of us, and my youngest, Holden shot the first dove, and droped it, Hunter, his older brother shot and droped the other dove. Holden was SO excited that he shot his first dove, he forgot to eject the empty shell out. His smile, if you guys could have seen it, was from ear to ear. He said, I shot my first dove, and I shot it with my favorite hunting buddies. Dad and Hunter, well that just made my heart melt. My pain seem to be gone, I mean no pain at all. I need some more of that stuff. But he ran out and got his, and Hunter ran and got his, they were both really happy. It was a long time waiting for me to have the day when I can get both of my boys out to hunt with, it was kids only hunt, but that was worth a limit of ducks and geese any time, just seeing my 2 boys out hunting with me, and the fun they had. Thanks to the Twin Bridges Waterfowl USA chapter for the hunt. FIRST CLASS in my books. They are having a banquet next Sat. Very proud day for daddy. Holden is pictured on the left, and hunter on the right. Final talley: Holden 4 shots , 1 dove, Hunter 6 shots, 2 doves. Mr. Paul Lake, the boys can't wait to come visit you. ;D

Just joking, but shoot some for me. Have fun and be safe out there guys. Post up some pics for me

I am looking to see if any one on here does any welding on here. I am looking to put a light on the front of my boat that I can remove in the off season. But something like the mudbuddy light frame. I will supply the lights, but would like something that incases the lights. I do not need a real fancy one, but something that will work good, and keep the rain and snow off of the lights and so no one can step on the lights. I am wanting to see if anyone would trade a set of my custom calls for some welding. Please send any pictures that you have and if you are interested in trading . Thanks

Ok, can anyone reccomend a spot to take my 2 boys dove hunting that won't be so crowded. I think they will be able to hunt the youth dove hunt at Bluegrass F&W, but after that, we need to do some scouting. Our dnr properties down here really don't do much for the doves, Bluegrass has 8 sunflower fields planted, but only to the thanks of the local waterfowl usa chapter who helped flip the bill so the youth have something to hunt. I though about the rivers, but with my back bummed out, I can't do that. Does anyone know if any of the dnr properties have planted any fields around the Evansville area. I am not trying to slide in on someones fields, just looking to take both of the boys out to have some fun.
