I've been shooting both 2 3/4" and 3" #4 buckshot by Federal with the modified and full invector chokes in my BPS Predator Hunter. Not real satisfied with the results so far and am thinking of trying a dedicated predator choke. There are several to choose from and I'm wondering if any of the members here have a favorite/recommendation? I have also researched some of the specialty predator loads, but the prices have held me back from trying any of them. I have an 80 acre property to hunt that is surrounded by small farmhouses, outbuildings and livestock, so a shotgun is the best option for me. Any suggestions as far as a chokes or experiences with some of the specialty loads would be appreciated!

I believe this is my first post on this site. Got on here last year to keep track of the deer kill and see what's happening around the state. In my area of west central Indiana, the deer population seems to be down. I only hunted 12 mornings and 19 evenings this season, but had sightings on only 7 sits with a total of 13 deer sighted. Last year I had over 100 sightings and had killed a doe and a buck by Nov. 17. Opening morning of gun this year we heard less than 12 shots and that is way down. I bow hunt thru the gun season and always keep track of the number of shots on the gun opener. 2008 we heard 77 shots before noon. I walked the creek and checked the neighboring properties ponds and lakes today looking for deer carcasses and found none. Packing it in for the year.
