That doesn't matter. I still think they'd have to have "reasonable suspicion that a crime has, is or is about to be committed."

As I was using "Terry stop" meant that they did NOT have a reasonable suspicion that a crime was being committed. Police can't stop you and check your license "just because". The same way, Indiana Supreme Court says police can't stop a person that is carrying a gun to check for a LTCH, just because. So why can COs stop and check for a license when there is no other suspicion of wrong doing? The last sentence says it all "or is about to commit a crime". You are in the field with a weapon it appears you intend to shoot something or your holding a fishing rod in your hand your about to fish for something do you have a license or not, is your gun plugged for waterfowl, do you have life jackets ect. I'm carrying a pistol on my hip, do I have a License to carry it? Same logic and the Indiana Supreme Court has said, no, you can't just stop and ask them.

Did your friends file a harassment complaint because he was checking on a harvested deer? And unless I am wrong a Terry stop is legal. Terry v. Ohio, 392 U.S. 1 (1968), was a decision by the United States Supreme Court which held that the Fourth Amendment prohibition on unreasonable searches and seizures is not violated when a police officer stops a suspect on the street and frisks him or her without probable cause to arrest, if the police officer has a reasonable suspicion that the person has committed, is committing, or is about to commit a crime and has a reasonable belief that the person "may be armed and presently dangerous."[1 As I was using "Terry stop" meant that they did NOT have a reasonable suspicion that a crime was being committed. How is it they can ask to see licenses? Is this not like a Terry stop, which are illegal? Just curious. Never had one stop me. Did have one harass some friends who were sitting in my sister's yard with deer hanging. ironjaw can tell the whole story.

One more for me. Kind of a funny story... It was super windy, not much movement I could see. But I took a seat and then one started barking pretty close. I saw him go down a tree but couldn't get a shot. He then went up a different tree. He stopped an instant too long and I shot. But he didn't fall, I thought, "how did I miss!??!" So I shot him again. He still didn't fall, but I did notice he swung a little. His one foot was still clutching onto the tree. I killed him with my first shot, and REALLY killed him with the second, lol. Base of the skull and right threw the chest and spine.

My first squirrel gun was a Savage .22. I can't use it anymore, it won't extract the shells. First gun I bought was a Stevens 20 gauge. That's what I've been using mostly this year. I also have a Remington 597 that I really like. I have an old Stevens bolt action that is my favorite, but the bolt throw is really far on the top of the receiver, so the scope has to be mounted on a side mount and I can't find a good scope that will fit that mount. It is only for 3/4" tubes I think.

You can find great people online and some of them will even invite you to hunt on their property, if you are really lucky.

I have an Excalibur Ibex, no longer available with the aluminum riser. Bought it used a couple of years ago. No problems with it. Have even accidentally dry fired in a few times, other than throwing a string, no ill effects. I love the recurve Vs the compound. I wouldn't make a habit of that.. Yeah.... I try not to.

I like our team name but maybe we could give it a nickname I suggest "the nfalls ironjaw and poc get deer and medic22 and johnc911 get participation trophies team" I'll drag medic22 up here to HNF and help him get a deer if I have too. And no little girls will steal it from his either.
