I really like the excalibur de-cocking process after hunting. Super easy and safe to do. Just wondering do other brands allow you to de-cock the bow like this or do you need to shoot a bolt each time? What is this? I have an Excalibur.

The horse camp was blocked off. Dumbest thing ever. It took more money to have someone drive out and block it off than just to leave it alone.

I'm in Orangeville area, you ever been to Shirley Creek? Yes, a few of us used to hunt a couple of miles south of the trailhead. My wife's stepfather's uncle lived there and we would hunt his place and the public ground that bordered it. They stayed at the camp every firearms opener, but I didn't. It's funny that you should mention it, as that is the main place in mind when I was discussing getting lost. Lol! I got turned around back in there once and about curled up into a fetal position and cried. Lol! I hunt part of it sometimes and there is a whole lot of land there to get lost on. I killed a little button buck on it a couple of years ago, drug him to a creek bed and turned right to go to the truck. I didn't realize I was on a different fork of the creek and was going away from the truck the whole time. Got in a mess of blown down Pines and had to call for backup to help me get that tiny deer out, I was beat from dragging him over trees and crawling under them and pulling him along. My glasses were so steamed up it is a wonder I didn't get even more lost.

Lack of public land is one of the biggest issues facing hunters and people interested in nature in Indiana. THOUSANDS of acres in Orange County, and I rarely see anyone using it. Too far off the beaten path for the nature lovers I guess.

In my area of southern Indiana, it's pretty hilly, and the wooded sections are big when compared to the surrounding fields. The majority of the fields are grassy pastures, with few crop fields. In fact, you can get lost in a lot of the forests if you don't pay attention. Sitting on a field edge is pretty much a waste of time where I hunt. The deer are uneasy out in the open, and when they do cross a field in daylight, they usually waste little time getting to the other side. 99% of the time, I set up back in the woods on a ridgetop saddle or a bench. I'm in Orangeville area, you ever been to Shirley Creek?

Saw the biggest deer I think I've ever seen tonight. He stayed a ways away from me but he was following the same path another buck followed the day before. I moved my stand about 50 yards North. But I have to wait till Monday to hunt it.

I bought Mahindra several years ago. Then the dealership went out of business. Now I do all my own repairs and deal with a very good place in CA or NY to get my parts.

Hoping it dumps a pile of rain. Man it is way to dry down here. On the other hand I have to work outside so I'm on the losing end either way. Had a fire a couple of days ago, likely from a cigarette thrown from a car window. It is way too dry.
