Did the income tax rate go up? My wife and I made just enough more to bump into the next bracket. So, yes, our rate went up. Also, the IRS continually reduces and caps what can be deducted. Now, I politely answered your reasonable question. Your turn.

I would like to ask what I consider a fair question: Who do YOU trust more with OUR economy? Trump or Biden? It's a one-word answer, please. Meanwhile, I just wrote the largest check to date for our income taxes since my wife and I got married. Quick math tells me that our income is NOT keeping up with what we pay in Federal tax.

Bluegills were 8 to 8 1/4" long. No big ones this time. All bluegills still alive and flopping when cleaning started at 9:30. Fish were in there 5 to 5 1/2 hours. Anytime I keep fish to eat, we have a cooler of ice in the boat and fish go straight on the ice when caught. Chilling them down firms them up and makes them easier to clean, plus keeps the meat in good shape. I agree 100% Cleaning cold fish is way less messy as well.

I shoot 100 grains in my Optima RIFLE and it has a pretty good thump. Don't think that I would enjoy shooting a pistol with that load. The gun would handle it, but my 75 year old frame would likely protest. By the way, my optima has one of the best triggers of any of my hunting guns. Had a buddy who put a pistol grip on an 870, no butt stock, we were messing around one day shooting clays and he pulled that out. I had a #8 shot loaded. Thought it wouldn't punch that hard, I will never use that gun again unless I was being chased by zombies and it was my ABSOLUTE last resort! My former B.I.L. had a 12 bullpup loaded with slugs. I shot it once and set it down. I would not shoot that again unless in defense of my home and family.

SC just had too much depth and too much talent.
I was excited to watch Purdue until I learned that tip off is at 9:20. I've always thought that playing the Super Bowl on Sunday was officially the dumbest idea. The NCAA has managed to dethrone the NFL.

I talked to a buddy in Oklahoma. They are going to a deer bundle. archery, muzzleloader, rifle 6 deer total, 2 archery, 1 muzzleloader, 3 rifle, around $150. That's the only license that will be available for residents. If yoiu don't hunt with all 3 weapons or just only shoot 1 deer, too bad. Pay the $150ish. This seems discouraging and probably prohibitive for some. Probably a bargain for those who participate in multiple seasons and want to harvest multiple deer. But, think about the guy who just wants one or two to feed the family or a college student who can only hunt over Thanksgiving break. Out-of-state costs have recently kept me from hunting in KY. I have a standing invitation to hunt 90 acres about an hour from my house. I would be the only person hunting the farm. The landowner does not hunt and does not want non-family around his livestock. However, the last time I checked, it would cost me roughly $350 to legally hunt there. Combine that with fuel cost and travel time, I can't justify hunting there. I can't imagine paying $550 to hunt in Indiana. Just my thoughts.

Does anyone vacuum seal their fresh fish? If so, are you satisfied with the results.
I always freeze mine in zip lock bags and water, which is a royal pain in the rump. I have a good vacuum sealer and am thinking about trying that instead. Opinions have been mixed on other forums.

Went to a new property Saturday and kept 18 crappie and one bluegill. The crappie were 9"-12" and very healthy. All were caught from the bank using different color curly tail jigs and a plastic minnow. The minnow and white jig seemed to attract the most attention. I caught these in about 90 minutes.
I can't wait to get back to this place again. The pond is (according to the owner) about eight acres and full of fish. He owns or leases land with five other ponds. There is good bank access to this one almost all around and the surrounding vegetation is well established. It should stay clean after heavy rains. I've studied the other ponds via Google Earth and I'm anxious to visit two of the other ones.

In case anyone missed it, President $#!t for Brains declared March 31 "Transgender Day of Visibility." Yes, that's right, the Easter Bunny is sharing the spotlight this year.
What the hell is "Transgender Day of Visibility" anyway? Would anyone like to defend this buffoon? Anyone?
I know I keep repeating myself, but for the sake of this country, now and forever, wake up and pay attention to what the Democrats and far-left are trying to do. I don't even feel right saying Democrats. I'd like to think that most of them don't agree with the radical agenda that is being ramrodded up our rears. However, they (Dems) will continue to vote for this fool just to spite Trump.

Young is a generic politician, saw him speak at an economic forum. Stuck to the generic card of answers with nothing of substance. When people in the crowd asked questions (legitimate questions) he danced like Fred Astaire. Disappointing. And Braun, please no to Braun, the guy is in it for a paycheck. Braun does not need the money. He's done well for himself.

My first thought was that Putin doesn't sissy-foot around like someone else we are familiar with. I look for a fast and devastating response once he figures out who is responsible. I heard on a podcast today that there is a video of one of the terrorists receiving some electricity in the crotch and another with his ear cut off. Inhumane? Yes. Does the punishment fit the crime? Almost, but not there yet. Keep shocking and cutting.

I read where the governor of Maine tried to enact vehicle emissions and EV standards to "mirror California." That should have been the first immediate red flag. The proposal was voted down by both parties in the state legislature.
Did this fool not pay attention when EV batteries failed during a cold snap in the mid-west? Main doesn't have occasional frigid temps. It gets cold and stays cold. What an idiot!
One Democrat stated that EV's simply don't fulfill the needs of his rural constituents and they can't afford neither the car itself nor the required upgrade to charge them.

Pay attention folks!
From what I interpret, in order for automakers to meet overall emissions requirements, by 2030 56% of new car sales will have to be EV's and 13% will have to be hybrids. This is to offset the emissions of normal gas and diesel fueled vehicles.
Comments from electric industry insiders indicate that it would take a minimum of 15 years for the electric grid to be updated enough to handle that amount of EV's.
In my opinion, this is just another step towards forcing us, the American consumer, to fall in line with the climate wackos. Think about DEF. As far as I can tell, it's nothing more than perfume for diesel exhaust. It's another expense and a pain in the rump. I had a company owned Duramax that consumed over $4k in DEF system repairs prior to hitting 150k on the odometer. I personally will not buy another diesel vehicle. Diesel fuel used to be considerably less in price than gasoline. Not anymore. Any one else have a hunch that this is all a ploy by the Gvt to discourage diesel power?
I could go on and on about EV's and the lack of practicality for most of us. If you have one and it suits your needs, more power to you. I briefly had a Ford Maverick hybrid and loved it. It did not, however, serve the same purpose as a "real" truck. It was like a small suv without covered storage.
I'm a firm believer that most people, myself included, don't give enough attention to what is going on around us until it hits the wallet. I for one have made it a point to do a better job keeping up with current happening that can, and will, hit me sooner or later.

Saturday was the first time I have watched IU from tip-off this season. The thing I immediately noticed was the lack of any Indiana residents in the starting lineup.

I read two articles this morning that really caught my attention. No surprise, one in CA and the other in NY.
Utility companies in CA are proposing an additional tax not based on usage, but rather based on income. Households making more than $180k would be assessed $85-$125/month in addition to the usage fee.
NY is proposing a new regulation on restaurants that use coal or wood to fuel their ovens, particularly pizza joints. They will be forsed to install "scrubbers" to the exhaust systems AND have them regularly inspected by an engineer. I thing the cost is estimated a $130k for the equipment.
"This would never happen in Indiana" Think so? Just ask states like TX, UT, ID, etc. People are fleeing high-cost states and taking their politics with them. They are leaving due to taxes and overall cost of living, rarely for overreaching governments.
I don't think there are many on this forum, but if you plan to vote for Biden just because you don't like Trump's behavior, you are doing this country a disservice. If one thinks Biden is running the show, one is a damn fool. He's nothing more than a declining mouthpiece for the far-left.
I have no illusion that there is any hope for my FIL, but I am going to try to convince my own father. He despises Trump based solely on his verbal behavior. I urge everyone else to do the same if you know someone with similar political views.
