THIS IS NOT A DNR IDEA I was at the meeting when it was brought up It was brought up as a way to get the PR funds that are there for the taking. The PR funds are distributed by license sales Land owners don't buy a license Half the Deer are checked in on landowner tags Its 3.75 cents someone's going to get it why not us ? That's all it is It was a question and what can we do ??

I would really like to hear the reason the Fee has to be $3.75.... Sounds like there may be some over priceing there!..... IMO that's right You have to show a dollar profit The 2.75 is way it cost to administer Its sort of like a match

Hasent any one but me read the History of Deer in Indiana The Pitman/Robertson Act was created by sportsmen to fund the Government "DNR " to protect us from ourselves We with Market hunting Compleatly wiped out the Deer None ,Zero not a one This program and the DNR is still doing that today Protecting us from us !!Without them and PR we would be right back at Zero again I have used Our Bios. Our CO,s and received several thousand in WHIP a PR funded program Ijust don't think it is understood how important these dollars are to us Just looking for a way to get more and my self would be ore than happy to do it

NO. Landowner's pay enough. I would agree that majority of landowner's purchase license's already and are responsible for majority of wildlife improvement's. Just because you pay additional monies to government doesn't mean those monies will be used for what they were intended for. It Does With Pitman/Robertson money Ver Specific on use

In that case then every time a person checks in a deer with a landowner tag catalog it the same way and collect the money from the feds. That would also be the same with a turkey checkin... Does anyone know how many times a lifetime Hunting lic. Is counted for during a hunting season? One Time for PR Money

I assume because the LTL is counted the same and valid every year your alive as if you had purchased a annual license it counts for receiving the PR .

Indiana Received 18,000,000 PR money last year ,,,for the DNR With this 3.75 fee they would have possibly received 3or 4 million more At 50,000 a year that would be 80 Bioligist and CO jobs that's how big a deal it is !!

So just raise the non landowner license 50 $ then,That will work too!! Then the PR money can go to Mississippi or some other State .. that is willing to sell a license This is not a DNR Suggested license. Just looking for the best way to get the Most money to the DNR

Lifetime license holders are counted every year as if they had purchased a annual tag to get those pr funds Fishing license buyers help get Dingell , Johnson money Like hunters get PR money

Nice first post Justicehunter SMH you a landowner ?? I wouldn't call it a tax myself , we would be more or less donating 3.75 To be able to get a tax (Pittman,Robertson) back in our state all other hunting license holders help !! we as landowners don't But There are A lot of programs we landowners utilize ,paid for with PR money that the other license buyers fund for us

The money is collected from a tax on Firearms ,ammo etc. Then given back to the states dependent on licenses sold in that state If you don't buy a license and show a 1 dollar profit you don't get the PR money

IStarted in1969 Was relic hunting and saw tracks when season opened I went to park and practiced with my just purchased Bear super mag with park lights to see till I could hit a pie plate. Lol next morning climbed in a old apple tree and waited Here they came Shot till I ran out of arrows 5 I think Never saw another deer for 3 years had a Jennings round wheel then Missed again back then you saw a couple deer a year you did good if you missed Your year was pretty much over Finally got one at Crane with a shot gun in 73 was really tough back then If you saw a deer a week you were successful was 79 till I got one with bow That's why us old guys see not much at all wrong with population now we hunted when there were no deer
