I have been seeing emails about the intro of a new pistol coming out this week. One pic shows a guy on a horse. Another a gun belt with a large rimmed cartridge in the loops. BUT WAIT! S&W is bringing out a levergun. A roundbolt tactical 44 Mag. www.smith-wesson.com/1854I guess they have been watching the recent demand for Ruger-Marlin and Henry levers and are out to get a slice of that market. Check it out.

I like almost everything about the Limited Series. It would pair nice with my 29. Except for the price $3499. The SS in .357 would go good with my 66. It is priced and configured to give the R&M 1894 competion.

Hmmmm... I'll have to pass... I dont care for plastic on a lever gun and can't afford the wood..
Nice looking though.

Looks b#tt ugly to me, I'll pass. Give me a traditional 1873 with wood stock, case hardened receiver and blued barrel.

I am a fan of blued steel and walnut too. I have an Uberti '73 SRC clone in 38/357. What a fun gun to shoot. Projects for spring include some 357 black powder loads. Those should be fun in my Colt clone too. Prices for new repros are similar to the S&W and Ruger-Marlins though. I an happy S&W decided to get into leverguns. Competion is a good thing.

I've got the same rifle in .45 long colt so I can interchange ammo with my single action cowboy revolver when the indians attack the wagon train.
