For those of you shooting .22mag and .17hmr, are you using scopes with set 100 yards parallax or AO? Anyone using 50 yard set parallax scope for these rounds? While scope shopping I noticed that manufacturers sell "rimfire" scopes which all seem to have a fixed 50 yard parallax. The way I understand it, the only difference between the Vortex diamondback and diamondback rimfire, is the parallax setting. Looks to be the same with the Leupold scopes as well. Are the fifty yard parallax scopes really just suited for 22lr and not so much the 22 mag and 17hmr? Planning to use this gun for longer range squirrel hunting and groundhog whack-a-mole. Thanks

I never use a dedicated rimfire scope. My rimfire scope of choice is a Leupold 2.5x8 always has been always will be. And I can shoot from 10’ out to 300 yds.

Thanks I would agree with your assessment. You could always buy an adjustable objective lenses scope. Several available in the 4x12 or so range that would suit any needs.

I use a CF scope that has either side focus or AO.
