Could it be fixed in a crock pot or one of those roasters? I realize it would not be a fancy dedicated cooker but I have both and a vacuum sealer. Get the grill hot for the sear and grill lines and I am good to go.
I heard you could take round steak and make it into filet mignon. I woke up at around 3AM with this idea. I am surprised I remembered.
Like Woody said in another post this is the place to ask.

The Souse Vide cookers that I've seen can regulate the temp to a degree or two, and circulate the water around in the tank with a small pump. Dunno if a crock pot or roaster would work the same. You can cook a steak rare, med rare, med, etc. in one.

I use mine quite a bit, but mine wouldn’t fit in a crock pot. Mine hooks into the edge of a pot or a bucket for lack of a better term. The water level has to be pretty specific as well. But it works great. You can cook a steak for a whole day and never burn it. By the time you pull it out, you can cut it with a spoon.
