Just back from a quick family visit to San Antonio

It was a joy to spend time with my daughter and her family this past week.
The drive down and back was pleasant and the weather was great, too!
First, on her recommendation, we hit Terry Black's in Lockhart for some awesome brisket.
And a good way to celebrate my Son-in-law's graduation with his DPT, Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the U.S Army MEDCoE!
I got to spend an afternoon, birdwatching with my grandson at Warbler Woods in Cibolo where we picked up a new and fairly rare bird, the Green-tailed Towhee:
And we had some more fun at the San Antonio Zoo with 2 of his sisters:
