Just got a bit of advice from a questionable character.
Let's say you live on a farm, ten acres, and you are a crop farmer, one persimmon tree, and say you come home from work and a guaranteed 180"+ deer eats your crops, one persimmon tree in your front yard...are you legal to shoot said deer for crop damage, one persimmon tree.

I have been told that removal of the animal itself (or just the head? I forget) isn't allowed. I'm unsure all the rules for deer control permits but I found this: Deer must be causing or threatening to cause economic damage to property in excess of $500 dollars annually. The number of deer authorized per permit depends on the amount of deer damage and the size of the area affected.
