After testing, it appears that the six year old battery on my Suburban is kaput!
Recent years, I have purchased batteries at Rural King, and had good success.
But, I’m always looking for a deal and I’m curious as to what you all have found.

There is an Interstate distributor in Clarksville that sometimes has scratch-and-dent batteries for a fraction of retail price. They don't always have any available, but it's worth shot to me when I need one.
I'm not aware of your location, but maybe there is one near you.

I have bought them at Rural King in the past and was always happy with the price and quality. I have also purchased a few deep cycle batteries from Costco and have been pleased with them. They have lasted several seasons and the price was right. They are interstate branded. If you have a membership it would be worth looking at their batteries.

High Cotton..... I know people knock wal-mart but their batteries are not bad and have a good warranty.
The Batteries are made by Johnson Controls which is one of the worlds largest battery manufacture .

I always thought there were actually only a few manufacturers of batteries, and they just rebranded them based on brand. I could be mistaken.
I use Walmart for batteries and oil changes with no worries. Can't buy oil and filter and do the work myself cheaper than they do it. Other competitors are like 2-3x cost for same service. Maybe they add a vacuum of the floor boards, whatever they don't do isn't worth the difference.

The last 3 sets of tractor batteries I have bought came from Rural King, I get 7-8 years out of them. That's really good for diesel tractor batteries and almost half the cost of"good" batteries. |

Just had one a year old replaced on the Dodge and it didn't cost me a dime for a $200 dollar battery. I never saved the receipt either, they looked it all up on their computer and said it was covered and that I bought it there. |

But I woke to Mama and,
“Hon, the kitchen sink won’t drain!”
So, we plumbin’ instead!🤓
Hopefully I’ll get to the battery because I gotta head to Arkansas tomorrow.

I ended up buying the battery from Costco.
Wal-Mart did not have mine in stock.
And Rural King was the exact same price as Costco, matching specifications.
The Costco battery was an H6 (48) AGM, 36 month for $169.99.
I like patronizing Rural King but Ma wanted the 2% kick back from Costco!
I just installed the battery and the ole Suburban fired right up.

While I'm ranting and raving, what about ATV batteries? Good Lord! $75 for a crappy little thing like that. I bought one last winter and it lasted 3 weeks, factory defect. They replaced it, luckily.
