Wow! Think she'd do a good job with this?? I don't think she even knows enough about guns to even do something as simple as handling one safely. And another outright violation of the second amendment, in that case they are also violating the 9th and 10th amendments which are supposed to bar the government from encroaching on the rest of the Bill of Rights. Oh, and where in Article 2 of the Constitution does it say the President and his office have the ability to regulate these things? Nowhere! Haven't read the Constitution much and the last time was a few years ago, but I actually noticed that the Constitution does say the President can sort of regulate the militia, but only in times of war. However Congress does have the power to regulate weapons and the militia more than the President does! I found it a little confusing, but yes, the Constitution does actually give the government these powers, and the Second Amendment sort of just draws the line as to where the power to regulate weapons and the militia (yes the militia is different than the military; if you are military, you have made a career of being a soldier; of you are militia, you are a common law-abiding weapon owning citizen who may fight for your country/state).
This is why you should study the Constitution, folks! I did my high school senior thesis on why we should study the Constitution, and even my inexperience found our government greatly lacking (yea I even went to the House of Representatives website and read one of the failed and reintroduced bills, some it anyway. I think it had something to do with changing state election laws, so in the first place the bill violates the Constitution because it tries to tell the states what to do. Trust me, anyone who even has take a beginning philosophy or logic course could take one look and immediately destroy a good deal of the bill! I used two paragraphs in my paper as an example, they were pretty funny in a serious way, because guess what??? The bill writers and sponsors tried to say states that don't allow anyone younger than 18 years old to vote (the age to vote as defined by the Constitution) must change their laws to allow voters as young as 16 years old. Here's the fun part: directly next paragraph, they turned around and said that this could not occur under certain circumstances, circumstances which believe it or not all states already have! Wow! They just completely negated their argument and gave a great piece of support to the opposing viewpoint! Now take this sort of logic and apply it to guns. We can see it happening right before our eyes. So is Vice President Harris going to do her job and do this correctly? Of course not. Pretty silly, and also a violation of the Constitution that not many except those who know and support the Constitution will pick up on.
