My ole buddy that supplies me with vintage motorcycle parts gave me a few knives the other day. I know very little about knives and I just wondered if anybody here could give some guidance. I see these have some kind of "Maker's mark." If it helps, I can try later to zoom in for a better image of the marks. And I'm open to any input overall that you may have on the knives in the pic below. Is there a resource available to reference the maker? Or can any maker just stamp or engrave as they please?

This may help or just fuel a fire. Anyone can get blades and scales and all the other knife parts and sell for what they want. knifemakersguild.com/I know there is a horn makers guild as some of their work could be passed of as original. They try to hide the mark0s in plain sight.
