Yeah that a head scratcher…. None during youth weekend but yes with bow and muzzleloaders during season Hmm!
What if they use Bow or muzzleloader during youth weekend?
Or just make it a one deer limit on that weekend in those counties

Antlerless deer during youth weekend have always counted towards the county bonus limit no matter what equipment was used.
While it falls within the letter of the law, I too see people not understanding.

A good teaching moment, I would say. Explaining why not shooting doe's , for the betterment of the deer herd.

They can shoot a doe in October with a bow in them counties…. Then when muzzleloader comes in! I understand your point but a can’t agree with it…. It’s all about how it’s checked in IMO

Many youth, (not all) don't hunt yet with archery. End goal by eliminating bonus antlerless season is killing less antlerless obviousily. Not sure some realize just how bad these counties were hit with EHD last year, know one landowner who found close to 100 dead deer on his farm in Franklin Co.

Personally, I wish Youth Weekend was treated like the military/refuge hunts. I would like for youth weekend to be 1 deer of either sex and not count towards the normal statewide total.
