Hmmm well I think if the FBI came and had all appropriate paperwork I don't think I would argue.

Wasn’t the safe owned by someone who was present at the J6 protest?

Hmmm well I think if the FBI came and had all appropriate paperwork I don't think I would argue. That paperwork did not mean that a second party (Liberty Safe) had to abide by their search warrant . Now if the FBI served Liberty with proper papers that “might” have been different The FBI once wanted Apple to unlock a phone and Apple told them no. It bothers me that Liberty has a back door to get into their safes

Liberty could said NO but then they would of went another route to get it open.

No doubt the FBI could have "went another route" but that has zero bearing on Liberty giving them access. When I buy a safe that means it is mine and no one else should have unauthorized access to it. Certainly not the safe manufacturer. I believe that Liberty will lose some future sales over this.

I say a lot companies would have done what liberty done but not acknowledged it to the public. IMO

I say a lot companies would have done what liberty done but not acknowledged it to the public. IMO It would have got out.. Then it would have been worse. One thing to do it and then its compounded by a cover up. That cover up admits guilt.

Both of my safes are not keypad but dials with combinations. In other’s words no electronics, is there a “back door “ into my safes?

There is no 'master code' for Apple phones. The case hinged on compelling Apple to *actively assist in breaking their own encryption*, quite a different matter than turning over codes. Apple complies with court orders to provide information that exists, such as the contents of an icloud account.

A good locksmith can open a gun safe fairly quickly. Messy, but can be done. My pro locksmith buddy recommends combo dials over keypads. They can be defeated, but are not as easy.

So how would liberty know the code in the first place? The keys concern me more.
As far as the FBI getting into the safe all they needed to do was a simple YouTube search . Harbor Freight grinder and a pry bar is all that is needed. Liberty did the safe owner a favor if he was clean.
I do not know much about warrents I have never seen one with my name on it or any other. 99% of what I know is from TV.

Locked safe only keeps honest folks honest. They can all be opened 1 way or another.
