An EV is a big old fat pass for me. Don't want it. Don't need it. Won't buy it. Gas gets up to $10 per gallon and like it or not, we all might be wanting an EV. I'm pretty sure the current administration wants to see $10 gas so they can shove their green agenda down our throats.

If I had to take a step that way, it would be a hybrid.

If it gets that high, I hope that the voters would step up to the plate and change things.

I am guessing the AC would cost a lot more to run than the heater. OMG sounds like my wife's VW Bug. Ain't progress wounderful BTW her mom did not want the optional gas heater when bought new. I had a Volkswagen Thing. The gasoline heater would have you sweating in no time. It’s one of my past vehicles I wish I had held onto. That and my ‘65 LandRover. Buddy of mine has a VW Thing. He gets it out for car show’s every once in awhile.

I’ve owned 3 hybrids over the years. First was a 2008 Toyota Camry, it gets 38-40 mpg, gave it to my daughter and it’s still going strong. Next had a 2015 Toyota Highlander hybrid, it got 28-30 mpg. It was too big for the two of us. Now we have a 2022 RAV4 hybrid, it gets 40-44 mpg. My Tundra gets 19 which isn’t bad for a full size truck.

I bought a brand new 2023 Honda accord hybrid sport for my wife two months ago, and I have to be honest, this thing is amazing! It cost about $30 to fill it up with gas and that’ll get you almost 500 miles in economy mode. You can flip it to sport mode and the gas engine and both electric motors work together, and it’s no slouch! I drive a ram 1500 and it costs $80 to fill up and gets me a lot less miles haha. I have a work vehicle so my truck doesn’t move a lot. It’s going to come in real handy since I have to drive 2 hours to watch a safety video at big oaks sometime soon and go buy a hunt permit 2 more hours away at NSA Crane.
