Insert sarcasm
Been about a week since our house beagles seemed a bit off. Acted like she was trying to cough something up but couldn't and didn't want to eat. From my st Bernard and buster dog I knew what I was looking at but still had hope. Took her in and her chest was completely full of fluid. They got one side drained as was able to to xray. She had a lump on her heart and lumps in her lungs. Had to say goodbye. They were pretty busy so had to wait. After an hour in the room I got pretty upset and stormed to the front desk. Kindly told them I'm well aware they are busy but they could at least bring my dog in so I could spend time with her as it be the last time. Anyway she went peacefully while I held her.
Pretty irate. Came home and water heater leaking all over the place. Rusted out around where the elements go. Time to get a new one. Of course the plumbing was from 1970 so that all had to be redone.
Drove up to indy yesterday morning for a pre surgery appointment that I've been waiting for 3 months for a procedure that is pretty well dampening life. Before they could do my pre-tests they had to do blood pressure test. Nurse came in and said we have a problem. My blood pressure is 166/118 with a resting beat of 111. Apparently the drugs they need to give me to do the test are okay but the reversal drug causes a spike in blood pressure so they couldn't do it. The surgery is a 90% chance of being pushed off until who knows when and if I can get my pressure stabilized.
To say I'm glad the week is over is an understatement

Rough week for sure. Hopefully things turn around for ya and you can start the upswing. Hopefully they can get your surgery scheduled and get ya fixed up soon.

Sending positive thoughts your way. They say the Good Lord will never give you anymore than you can handle. There has been a few times though where I thought he had me confused with someone else. Hang in there. Sorry for the loss of your dog.

Sorry about your loss, I had a similar experience a couple months ago when having my Weimaraner of 14 years put to sleep.
