I've been seeing lot of deer this year so far. Typically 5 to 12 each time, but no shooter bucks yet. Lot's of does and 2.5 year old 8 pointers on both properties I hunt. The bucks are really starting to put down some sign in Madison Co so hopefully in the next couple week I will have a big buck down then I will start doe hunting. I just need the weather to work a little better on the weekends since I typically hunt Fri-Sun.

I can't wait to get up there.I'm leaving Saturday and will be up for two weeks.I hope there's a little more rutting activity, sounds like it's a little slow just by reading the boards. I would guess the warm weather and rain's not helping. I hope to have some pictures to post when I get back. Good luck to all and Parke County here I come.

I hunt in Parke County and it is just a deer heaven for whitetail. It actuall ranks i think 8th in the country for world class non typical deer. The nice thing about it is that not to many people know about it. Its habitat is mainly river and creek bottoms and deep valleys and much of the county is timber but there is also a great supply of crops for the deer to eat. Most hunters i know do a good job of deer management and it that proves for them because there are some woppers bein killed. I have been fortunite to take a 130 inch plus bucks the past 3 season. And this is my one from this year. A 130 inch 8point. Not what i was really looking for but he was a mature deer and the deer on the right my buddy harvested. Its a 115 inch 9pt. A young deer, i wish he wouldnt have shot him but he has not takin a deer of much size before so I gave him the go ahead. Pretty good day of hunting!!! Attachments:

My dad (vectrix) killed a doe in late september and one in october, then he got a nice 8point urban buck in october and his 159 11 pointer on halloween. Since i hunt urban im gonna try to get anice bow buck and my dads looking for a slick head.
