I’ll just be supporting the local farmers market. First time in a long time I didn’t plant a single thing.

Poison Ivy (my wife, in a nod to "batman" fandom) has been planting like there's no tommorrow. We have kohlrabi, radishes, collards, lettuce, green onions, maters, watermelon, jalapenos, bell peppers, and green beans all coming up in raised boxes, not to mention marigolds, lavender, sweet potato vines, hostas, etc. Just yesterday had to run out for more dirt, which ain't dirt cheap anymore. I'm beginning to dread her visits to the garden center!

My wife and stepdaughter planted our garden tonight while I put up the fence posts around it and planted grass seed in a spot I just leveled out. We worked until dark trying to get everything planted before the rain tomorrow. I should get the fishing string strung up Monday to keep the deer out.

Garden is looking good and cut some lettuce so far. I was late on the early plants. I started the fencing part of the new garden build. I have 4 of the 7 sections built. No updated pictures. Here is the last picture I told on April 30th.

We got a good soaking rain yesterday. I just finished putting up the fishing line fence and put some Irish springs shavings around it. Hopefully the fence works as good as it did 2 years ago. Last year I didn't put it up and the deer ate every plant down to the ground.

I’ve had good success with this light trellis rope. Where did you get that from? I bought it last year off Amazon was called too lazy nylon mesh trellis, 750 feet for around 40 bucks.

Hoping with the rains we received last week and more for this coming week the garden will stay in good shape and keep the barrels full. When the barrels are full I can get about 3 good watering , with the drip irrigation it puts the water right on the plants. I do have a hydrant hook to my city water if needed, but something about that acid rain the plants really like and do better than the city water.
