this season i have had zero ticks on me or clothing which is a first for many seasons of turkey hunting I sent all my turkey gear to insect shield and they permethrin treated it. Really impressed so far here is the link if anyone is interested www.insectshield.com/pages/insect-shield-your-clothes

At that price I could spray all my hunting stuff down myself for the rest of my life after just a season or two of paying them. Mixing and spraying it all myself doesn’t take much time, effort, or money and it works just fine. I didn’t even know this service was out there and I’m sure people use it, but I’ll pass.

I spray my own clothes with permethrin after every wash, they say it’s good for multiple washes but, in my experience it doesn’t last that long. I want to try the soak method ever since I bought the concentrate, just spraying seems to work well enough though.

I use the concentrate from TSC. It was roughly $40 after I bought the spray bottle. I will be able to mix about 20, 20oz bottles.
Walmart has Sawyers permethrin (good stuff) but it's $43 for two 24oz bottles.
Definitely money ahead by mixing it yourself and it works. I mixed my own for the first time last year and Daphne and I had zero ticks on us. Although my season was short this year, I was still set up in knee high grass. I had my blind and all my gear (except my gloves and face mask) sprayed down. Zero ticks.

I have used the martins permethrin 10% too and mixed my own in the past. It's about $20 for the 32 ounce bottle online now. The IS process bonds it to the clothing for the life of the clothing though, the US military treats their uniforms this method
mixing and spraying your own works too as long as you remember to do it

I have the ready to spray bottles from Cabela’s and I never saw a tick either. Last year they were so bad, I had to bug bomb my car after opening day.
