As I walked the lane to move a camera on my property yesterday, I noticed these tracks. These were fresh. All tracks are within approximately 10 feet. They were not there the previous day. It makes me wonder if the deer was, stomping an alert, due to this: And more to my wonderment, are those dog or coyote tracks?

I tend to agree with you on the stomping. I think due to the two different sized canine tracks, it was a couple of dogs of different sizes. I doubt that you'd see a fox and coyote track that fresh that close together, although that track in the upper left corner looks like a 'yote. A coyote track is roughly 2 1/2" long or a wee bit bigger.

What's that rusted piece of metal at the top of the first picture?

What's that rusted piece of metal at the top of the first picture? That's a good question! And you got a good eye for that kind of stuff! I did not notice that. It might be a few days before I get back to the property. But, I'll check it out when I get back there!

Could be a simple as the deer shifting it's weight on a foot while feeding? Put the pics on a trappers forum. Those guys will tell you right away what you're looking at.

Looks like a pair of needle nose pliers. Y'all are on it! I got to the property today and sure enough... I just brushed some of the mud and dirt off. Can't budge the pliers open!

With all the projects you get into I’m sure you can have those pliers working in no time.

Cool! Give ‘em a soak and the wire brush and you’ll have a pair to throw in the glove box if you ever need them.

Here's a way to clean them up, and I bet you have 95% of the materials already.

Look like my boat pliers by August. Soak in pb blaster and 400 grit sand paper until smooth operations. Good luck. I think they would find a trash bin at my house.
