I am having some issues with my trailer lights that I could use some help figuring out.
I have tail lights, but not brake lights or turn signals. Now, this is on the camper, dump trailer, utility trailer, and enclosed trailer. The only one I didn't check was the boat trailer.
Also, the brake lights and turn signals work just fine on the truck.
I had misaligned hooking up the dump trailer a while back and hit my plug, so I assumed I had damaged it. After a plug and play replacement plug has been installed, I still have the same issue.
Any clue?

Take a tester and clamp the ground to the ground on your plug and have someone go through all of the signals to make sure you are getting juice from the plug. If you are, and most people will agree,90% chance you have a bad ground.

This…^^^ the fuse for auxiliary/Tow lights I believe there is a fuse for maker which is good… look for the Turn/brake auxiliaryTow fuse! The box maybe under the hood! Your owners manual will tell you what fuse and location..

With a bad ground I don’t think he’d have anything at all working. I believe they share a common ground

Your owners manual will tell you what fuse and location.. According to the diagram I found, this fuse is number 34. I shall find out if it is the issue after work tomorrow.

Start with truck. If bad on truck check fuzes. Then look for pinched wires/shorts that would blow the fuze.
If good at plug plug in trailer and figure out what works and what doeFuze. Replace or reconnect all ground connections.
If all else fails rip out old wires and replace with all new wires.
Ground issues have created a ton of frustrating days chasing issues. I second...if it is unexplainable it is a ground issue

A simple test light and test whether power is coming out of the truck plug. I am betting not since you have no lights on any trailer

Once I had 0 running lights, brakes lights worked, 4 way flashers worked. Short on the trailer was blowing the fuse for the trailer lights in the truck fuse block. Depending on what year/make/model vehicle, I'd try an auto parts store first for a fuse vs. the stealership. I had intermittent "trailer brakes disconnected" error code on the truck. I'd stop, bend the tabs on the round 7 pin connector they'd work for a bit. No rhyme or reason. Turned out that the wire going from side to side on the trailer axle was broken internally and once that wire was replaced, the problem went away.

I am betting not since you have no lights on any trailer That been what would done after first unit wasn’t working right…….With multi units with same problem I go straight to fuse box. All vehicle outlets are fused. I say a wire on the trailer somewhere is loose making the fuse blow…… I start a trailer plug and work back from there.

Trailers will have a small pigtail ground to the frame, often hard to spot. Sometimes two. If it is not super clean stray voltage Will run around causing the craziest problems

After finding out that blade fuses are half the size they used to be and my fat fingers just don't fit in there, one new 25 Amp tiny demon later, I have fully working lights.
I'm hoping my plug hit caused the short and the already installed new plug will prevent another issue. Spare fuses are in the glove box just in case.

They make a little plastic tool to pull them most of the big car box stores have them for about 3 bucks I’ve got one for work they have them on control boards and they are just as fun to get out.

My Ram has the tool already in the fuse box. Can I get the dang thing to work like it's supposed to? Nope I just grab 'em with a pair of needle nose pliers. My trailer fuse was around $9/each when I had to buy one at the dealer a few years ago. I'd hate to see what they cost now. They are a small pink "box" looking thing. Not a blade type fuse. I have those too.....

I figured the fuse was the issue hopefully you fixed what caused the fuse to blow…your trailer has a right and left turn signal wire which are the brake light wires also usually they are the green and yellow wires in the trailer plug.
