Yes that is pretty much standard. Some will drop it 3 or 4% if you pay cash. Also some charge for using a credit card.
I made an excel spread sheet that uses a few fields to fill in and it calculates out full price. I reverse it and put in what I want to pay and it will spit out the amount to bid.

So it’s the same fee online or on-site 15%? All I read was the online fee….

Typically the auctions that I've bin in have the same online/in person auction fee, add sales tax but there's a different fee for cash/check vs. credit card. Also, the fee is different depending how much your total bill is. At one site, for an auction invoice over $2,500 the auction fee is less, then dropped again for $10K and again for over $25K (IIRC).

I thought some of you may be interested especially those in Central Indiana. This is a huge auction of knives, black powder rifles and pistols, Reloading equipment, dies, presses, case prep, primers, powder, bullets, all sorts of magazines, airguns you name it. It is a huge auction but no loaded ammo or firearms. No shipping on powder or primers. indiana.hibid.com/catalog/430777/ludco-sporting-goods-liquidation-auction-part-1I saw several powders I have not seen lately, Bullseye and Leverevlotion and others. It is an auction so what you see now will change sometimes a lot. There are 4,300 Lots. Never realized Ludco was part of a FBI sting….Yikes! www.wthr.com/article/news/local/atf-raids-parker-city-gun-shop-owner-arrested/531-5a338db5-189b-46f4-8143-f6da3230de71www.thetruthaboutguns.com/7-agent-in-gun-store-raid-based-on-a-sting-operation/

I sent this to Woodmaster and he texted back… 😳 That’s the online price…… I say most stuff will sell on-site day of auction IMO maybe there not a buyer’s premium for on-site it’s not posted I did not realize they did a on site auction also guess I thought that was the whole reason for online. Hard to bid against someone not paying shipping you could be adding 15 20 bucks.

I sent this to Woodmaster and he texted back… 😳 Few things caught my eye thought about bidding so I filled out the form and started reading it better 15 % online premium none at auction site seems like a scam to me website should be included in advertising the auction 4 % convince charge for using a card 5 bucks per item shipped for handling plus cost of shipping Idk I sold my moms home on a online auction in December of last year they changed me 4% total that included everything advertising sale website paperwork open house inspection showing sure seems these guys are extremely expensive Not saying that some goods deals can’t be had but makes me think twice about even bidding now Another member here said he’d pick my stuff up for me so I’d save shipping

I just sent them an email asking if there was a live auction too, or if it was just an on-line auction and if there was a live auction, what was the buyers premium for the live auction?

Watching the LIVE bidding don’t see many low bids getting anything…. Figured that was coming!
Seems like they took prebids also that wasn’t online…..

Anyone get any deals yesterday? Live Bidding starts again at 12 today… Never did place a bid just didn’t care for all the additional cost and how they are doing it I get they are trying to make a living but charging 15 percent plus 5 dollars a item for handling and than paying shipping I get the 15 percent and shipping and maybe a one time handling cost for your total sale but if I bought ten things I’d had 50 bucks just in handling But not charging 15 percent for being at the auction just didn’t sit right with me especially if they are also charging the sellers a fee for on line sales they could be making 20 percent or more for on line sales Ok I’m done crying

Nope, outbid on everything so far. One item left. I figure out what the price I would pay, including the fees and sales tax and adjust my max bid accordingly. If someone else wants it worse than me, so be it. The powder I bid on would have been a wash when you figure in driving to pick it up. A few other things were "It'd be nice to have but it's not a "need" to nave". Somebody else thought they were a need vs. a want.
