OK, time for a U turn. What boats do you go out on? I lived in Oceanside for 10 years and went out about once a month during Tuna and Wahoo season. I've been on Spirit of Adventure (10 day), Qualifier Excel, pretty much every long range boat that was out of Fishermans Landing in the early to mid 1990's on 3-5-7 day trips. Was on the Red Rooster out of Oceanside down by Guadalupe Island too, that was a bear getting back - a storm blew in and it took us 22 hours just to get from offshore of TJ to the Oceanside harbor. I still have all the gear, I keep saying I'll drive back there and go out again one of these years. I went on a number of 2 day trips that Western Outdoors sponsored too. Giant metro areas and the control the have over state politics is a great example as to why we were not created as a democracy and why Senators were originally chosen by the States and not the public voters. Last 2 times I've gone (8 day trips) was the Searcher, and my brother and I are on that boat for a 7 day Oct 7-14 this year. Have also been out for 8 days on the Rooster. I don't think there such a thing as a bad long range boat. Just used my Cabela's points, some gift cards and some snow plowing money and ordered a Penn 20VISX for 100# line.

Oregon is also controlled by Democrats in both houses, and that one will die on the vine as well.

It has nothing to do who governs the state, but who are the legislators of the counties in this case. I do know how it works, and the counties won't have a say in it without the blessing of the legislatures AND the governor. Period. If it was up to the counties they would have left long ago. "....“Consent of the Legislature” Required for State Splits. As noted above, Section 3 of Article IV of the U.S. Constitution requires the “Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress” for specified acts to create new states...."

Yes, Consent of the Legislatures of the States is the key. I do agree the puppet congress right now may not consent, but that will change in do time.

Now I hear Texas will become a country or at least separate from the DC Government. They are in discussions now. I wonder what states will follow if this happens. Crazy days and crazy 2023 looks to be.

Not even a subject for supreme court. They spoke on this once and was rebuked. Not their jurisdiction to rule on, just like abortion.

They would then be eligible for foreign aid from the USA. All they would need to do is declare war on Russia abd Biden would send them billions

That aritcle has some errors in it.
They send approximately $198 billion to Washington, D.C., but the state receives only $33 billion from the nation’s capital.
Texas will receive $35.4 billion for its highways...
So what is it. 33, 35.4 or 68.4 plus all the other stuff

So Texas would be losing dollars from the Federal Government to fund the following programs (and I'm sure there are more)...
Social Security. Medicare/Medicaid. Education dollars. Infrastructure dollars. Disaster Aid. Border control dollars.
Not to mention plenty of other dollars that end up in Texas (and every other state) from the Feds Like...
Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), including Pass through Child Support. General Assistance (GA). Social security (self and on behalf of a dependent child). Department of Veterans' Affairs benefits (except Veteran's pension). Unemployment insurance compensation. Workers' compensation.
Another point that is being left out...Texas is home to 15 active duty military installations with an economic impact of over $100 billion that would be gone.
And finally...what will the currency be? Texas currency? And if it's new Texas currency what collateral will be used to back it up? Or will it be like Crypto currency?
This sounds like a kid telling his parents he's moving out on his own because he doesn't like the rules, yet comes back begging for cash or asking Mommy and Daddy if he can come home...

Whoa...never let facts get in the way of a good story....well a story. He quit one marathon thread of nostradamous style vague predictions to now predictions of states leaving the US. His YouTube algorithm must have shifted a bit.
