I don’t believe the Strikerfire model is legal outside of the firearms season….yet!
From the regulations book:
Muzzleloading Rifle/Shotgun Barrel caliber: .44” minimum Bullet diameter: .357” minimum • powder and bullet loaded from muzzle and single bullet* • saboted bullets permitted • multiple barreled guns permitted * can have powder loaded from the breech end only during the youth and firearms seasons

Those are not legal yet in Indiana muzzleloader season. I have Traditions Vortex Strikerfire and love it.

Just got a tracking number for my new CVA. I’ve never shot a smoke stick before, so we shall see!

I'm shooting the Traditions Pursuit XL and I absolutely love it. It's a little bit lighter than the CVA Wolf and it has more recoil as well. It comes with a scope but I would suggest setting it to the side and get better optics. Also, they don't come with iron sights either and best of luck finding them online. I've been trying to find iron sights just for the purpose of a really close range shot. From what I've read CVA sights will work but I honestly haven't had the time to research that theory yet.

He's the one who did my Apex conversion. I tried to steer a friend in that direction recently, but this close to muzzleloader season, he opted to buy a Wolf for now and go the smokeless route before next season.

I thought they were legal for Shotgun season only just like the pcp air bolts guns are As I understand it, the NitroFire is legal during the standard firearm season. But not during the muzzleloader season. During muzzleloader season, the powder and projectile must be loaded from the barrel, not the breech.

But not during the muzzleloader season. During muzzleloader season, the powder and projectile must be loaded from the barrel, not the breech. Almost half the states in the US they(NitroFire)are legal for use in muzzleloader season.... Indiana hasn't turned the corner yet. I personally doubt anyone is checking to see what muzzleloader you're using in Indiana. When they are used here during Gun season here the harvest is recorded as a muzzleloader kill from my understanding.

I'm not sure if this is still a thing or not on the new CVAs but you can adjust the headspace to keep blowback to a minimum from the primers.
