Someone needs to design a nice, comfy, portable, tree stand seat that fits your rump like a lazy boy recliner! My butt gets sore after a few days of sitting on those cheap one inch vinyl and foam seats! Lol I mostly hunt ladder stands these days and a nice seat would be greatly appreciated on all day sits! Oh well, it may be by design! If you are uncomfortable there is less chance of dozing off and missing out seeing a deer!

Not gonna lie, I'm all ladder stands now too and all but 2 of them have mesh seats. I traded for the other 2 a few years ago and they are on Park hunt only duty because they are all aluminum and easy to carry. It might sound odd, but have you tried a memory foam pillow?

Do a search for memory foam seat cushion. I got one for myself and my dad. They are pretty comfortable. I dropped mine in an old pair of camo base layer pants. I stitched up the waste and tied the bottom of the legs together to make a shoulder strap. It works pretty good.

Several years back I bought a piece of dense foam from Joann's Fabric and the wife stitched up a cover for it. I've gotten a lot of good use from it and not much money in it.

I feel your pain I knew I was uncomfortable in my old metal ladder stand with 1 inch foam pad that I’ve been using the last seven years. I did not know how uncomfortable I was until I bought a new ladder stand with the mesh seat. The difference is night and day I can stay in the new stand all day if need be where the other staying after 2 1/2 or three hours I was ready to give it up.

I like the type of seat that is suspended by straps, not the hard mesh seat.

About the most comfortable for me was using a climber top with the cushioned sling seat hung so that my feet don't hardly touch the ladder stand's platform.
The absolute best is the old patio chairs I have in our box blinds. They are fold-up and have a mesh bottom and back in them that are comfortable enough for an all-day sit.

The problem is when 2 people of greatly different height have to use the sling type seat. They are adjustable, just not a whole lot. We think we have a work around that issue, nothing that some cutting and welding can't fix. Biggest issue is gun rest height. But we think we have that licked.

That was the beauty of using the climber top. Instantly adjustable for height.
