I work for a civil engineering company that does transportation projects. I do the research on real estate property, road plans, right-of-way documentation, section corner research, ... for our survey crews to do our surveys. When it comes time to purchase additional right-of-way for a project, I do title research (Title & Encumbrance Reports) for the parcels of land that will be needed for the project. Been working for my current employer for about a year and a half, but did this for 20 years at INDOT previously.

Construction. Right now working as union cement finisher. In off season I instal ceramic tile. How do you get a off season they never quit here unless it’s brutal I’ve seen them blanket dirt so it won’t freeze So are you lucky enough to pull blankets man do I hate them with a vengeance especially when it snows or rains than they freeze. It's more like I would rather work inside with a thermostat that I can turn up if it's cold during the winter months...

Lots of hard workin' folk here!
After way too long in retail, For the last four years I've been working seasonally with the DNR at Clifty Falls, mostly at the gates. I also worked some with the maintenance crew and loved it. It has been a revelation in that I actually enjoy working there. I see lots of good folks, friendly dogs, people I have not seen in years---heck, I even crashed Scrub-Buster's wedding. I'm waiting on a permanent opening. (It's not nearly the same pay-wise as my last job but who cares) We also have a rental, but are seriously considering selling the house. The renters are good but it's some distance away and a distraction.

I've been in waste water treatment for the last 19 years. Only 7 years, 11 months, 27 days, 9 hours and 40 minutes before I can retire. I'll only be 50 so I'll likely start a second career.
I used to have a side hustle of counting cash at a casino but I gave that up in January.

We have a retirement plan but that’s not the same once it’s gone that’s it and if I’d would of quit at 50 I’d would of burned 11 years of it already. But I had my 30 in already at 50 also

I'll have guaranteed health insurance too.

Good for you bit of luck was on your side That’s my biggest problem I have to pay 3 years till I’m 65 it’s really not much more than I pay now but I won’t have a check coming in every week to cover it. It does concern me but I already know I’ll probably never quit working I’d go insane in no time so I’ll have some income I just have had enough of the grind
