Normal results for me. Not selected Wait a sec, I’ve read enough to know that Span got drawn for Mccormicks, that means you too. Am I right? 😂 I don't think I put in for a buddy. He wants to deer hunt about as much as I do. Looking forward to atterbury hunt. Mccormicks creek not so much but I'll go. I just put in for it because it was the closest to me

The only draw I got this year is Big Oaks Primitive Muzzleloader October 22 & 23.
The old 45 caliber Pennsylvania rifle gets to ride again.

I’m used to hunting brown county which is a huge park compared to all the others. There were hunters everywhere I tried to go during that hunt. Don’t think I ever saw a deer. Heard some way before light, but that was it.

Last time I went back by the saddle barn and had 2 guys walk around in front of me for 30 minutes.

Was the private land hunt a gamebird hunt? Yes. You have a bird dog? I applied on a whim and got drawn I do not have a dog. It was more of a curiosity thing while I know a few private spots that have some quail as far as I know there's not a ton of birds down there. Also the location/landowner because I have some family/hang out on the western half of the county.

I just talked to the folks at fort Harrison and they do NOT accept no show hunters. That’s too bad

Dang. So you really have to physically go to Big Oaks to watch a video prior to hunting and can’t just view it online?

Dang. So you really have to physically go to Big Oaks to watch a video prior to hunting and can’t just view it online? Yes…. And it’s limited days and how many can watch at one time! Because of the limits on the number viewing the safety briefing, it is important to view the safety video before the day of your hunt. The safety video will be shown at the refuge office on public use days (Mondays and Fridays), and hunt days beginning Sept. 26 (except when those days are Federal Holidays, Oct. 10 and Nov. 11 are Federal Holidays and the refuge office will be closed). We will hold safety briefings on Nov. 10 for the Nov. 12-13 hunt. Safety briefings will be held at the refuge office at 7 a.m., 8 a.m., noon, 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. on Public use days. The office is open from 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on public use days and from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10 and briefings will be at 8 a.m., noon, 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Hunt days the office is open from 5:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. during Eastern Daylight Savings and from 4:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. during Eastern Standard Time. Refuge Hunt Permits will be sold after each briefing. It is strongly encouraged that you attend one of these early safety briefings, as it will prevent long delays on the initial day of your hunt allowing you to arrive at your hunting area up to one to three hours earlier than would otherwise be possible. On your hunt date, if you have been safety briefed and have your Hunt Permit, you will check in directly at the refuge East Perimeter Gate (the refuge West Gate will not be open in 2022). redirect.viglink.com/?key=71fe2139a887ad501313cd8cce3053c5&subId=1336408&u=https%3A//www.in.gov/dnr/fish-and-wildlife/files/hunts/usfws-2022-bigoaks-deer.pdf

It’s been several years since I was selected for a park hunt. Do I need to purchase extra licenses for those deer or are they included? I can’t remember exactly how I checked my deer in at Lincoln when I hunted there. That was in 2014

You will check them in as public land and then Early/late state park hunt will be an option.
