Has anyone applied yet? I have been reading through it and it appears to somewhat of a "hassle". Call me old-fashioned, but why does everything have to change? LOL.

I saw it’s $2 per draw chance. I’ll be out of town for the archery and firearm dates so I’m not going to apply. I set up my account, but that’s as far as I went.

They are bonus deer under a military/refuge tag or Lifetime license.

^^ This. You can use your state tag if you want, but you can also buy a military/refuge tag and check the deer under that and then still have your state tag to use.

With the state tag the season has to be in to use it just like BO in other words no early gun season with state tag !

I applied for both gun hunts. I imagine the hoops just to apply will keep most from messing with it. Two 20 minute videos and two tests plus $2 each permit just to apply, but I had nothing else to do. Wonder why Big Oaks doesn't do online videos.

Apples and oranges between BO and Atterbury IMO I get that. I've hunted both extensively. Just seems it streamline stuff. Has the video at BO changed since the 80's?

Not sure but the safety video is one part of the meeting. The license/tag use and in/out times are also covered along with any questions. And your pass you buy.

Two things the military required when the Refuge took over Big Oaks were the video and safety briefing must be done yearly and Buddy system.
