With Don McClean, Lee Greenwood, Larry Gatlin and Larry Stewart (of the band Restless Heart) pulling out of the NRA convention out of respect for the shooting victims, should the NRA have followed their lead and postponed the event?

Nope..
Kind of disappointed that these folks pulled out. That’s basically falling into the antis line of thinking that the NRA is responsible for these types of shootings. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Absolutely not. The NRA is not responsible for this tragedy.

No to cancel would have done no good at all. The NRA is not responsible I can see DD not going it probably would have been tough for their people working it.
There sure is a lot of finger pointing and bad reporting going on though. Stories are constantly changing. Hard for me to believe anything that is on the news.

No. The NRA didn't shoot anyone, and I lament the withering spines possessed by those that canceled appearances.
I think that nut that drove through the Christmas parade was in a Ford. Did Ford pull their Christmas ads and pause sales? No, and that would have made just as much sense.
Of all the modern trends I find absurd, this mass flagellation when something bad happens is perhaps the worst. And it doesn't work. Apologizing to the mob does not work.
