Luke graduated from the 5th grade today. Off to middle school in the fall. He looks more like a high school graduate though. Lol. He is all of 11yo, and 6ft tall! They had a nice ceremony for them, and he received two awards. I believe he has only missed a day or two from preschool thru this year, minus the covid mess. Kind of bittersweet, as this is the last day of the only school and bus driver he knows thus far. All of the staff has been a real joy to be part of and we made sure he thanked those that mattered most. The next chapter of growing up is coming soon.

Definitely would not think of him as only a fifth grader. As a husband of a teacher it’s great you all thanked those that meant or did something to touch his or your lives. You’ll never know how much that means to a teacher. Congrats to him and you both. The fun times are just beginning. We’ve got one finishing 8th grade and 10th grade. We will have two in high school next school year. Trust me, there will be big bumps in the road no matter how good the kids are, but that’s part of life and makes the family stronger.

Way yo go Luke! I would tell you good luck but by the sounds of things you don't really need it! I just read an article about Lou Gehrig, it's funny because when I read that you missed so little school it remined me of Gehrig! He is one of my heros. Can't wait to see what the future brings you...... I'll make a bet that more than a few fish are in your future!

Congrats Luke and always thank the teachers or at least the good ones. My wife teaches 4th grade (9 yr olds). One or two more years and that it for her.
