After today I've only got 6 10ga turkey cartridges left. Winchester Supreme 2oz-#4 and 2oz-#6. I don't have the box anymore so can't give details on velocity or shot weight. Aboot 15 years old iirc. I'm a tight arse when it comes to buying ammo. I'm not gonna pay $4+ a round for turkey rounds.
So I found duck loads that I got 25 rounds for $79.99, $3.20 a round.
#2 ,1 3/4oz, 1350fps bismuth.
I think they should do fine if they pattern ok.
What do you think? Mixed shot size better or?

Well. Those 6 shells could last 6 years if you play it right. Other than that. I’d reload.

That's a big possibility as long as I don't have to confirm poi on it every year and If I don't take the red dot off and use it for waterfowl. Which I can always use my versamax for waterfowl and keep the 10 dedicated to turks. If I can find primers that fit the hulls I have ill give reloading a go.

I would say your good to go with that load. Well I guess those won't work as #2 are too big for turkeys as I've been informed. I didnt realized #4 is the biggest you can use.

Yep… Turkeys can be hunted only with: A 410 caliber and 10-, 12-, 16-, 20-, or 28-gauge shotgun loaded with pellets of size No. 4, 5, 6, 7, 7½, and Tungsten Super Shot 9 and 10. Non-toxic shot is required while hunting turkey on some DNR properties. Call the property you are interested in hunting on for additional information. www.in.gov/dnr/fish-and-wildlife/hunting-and-trapping/wild-turkey-hunting-biology-and-management

I wish I had 6 shells. I have one shell left of the ones I like. Hevi 13 #7 shot. They have been discontinuted. I got to looking at something comparable and saw a price of about $15 per shell. I just can't make myself spend $15 on one shell. Just a matter of principal. Looks like I will be switching back to lead shot in the future. I do have a couple boxes of the Hevi 13s in 20 gauge so I may switch back to the 20 gauge in the future. I missed a bird with it last year though so that gun has been locked up.

The amount of money I spend on hunting $10 shells are the least of my worries.
If I was shooting a bunch like in dove hunting that would be a problem. 2 or 3 a year? No big deal..

I don't like to waste $10-20 a shot on paper to rezero or confirm zero. My 10ga I use for goose hunting and will take red dot and slug barrel off when goose comes back into season. I know! Geese hate Indiana!! Lol
