First youth season I’m not taking my twins out as they are 18 now. Luckily my cousins son asked ti to this year, so I’ll still be out there chasing them. Good luck to everyone and stay safe! Weather is fixin to get a little bit on the warm side, but I guess that’s better than 40 degrees and 20 mile an hour winds

Taking my oldest son out for his last youth turkey season. My cousin is going to tag along with me this year…he’s wanting to learn how to Turkey hunt. I’ve got a few birds scouted out that are staying in the same area so hopefully my son can put his first bird down!! Good luck to everyone!!

Good luck to all the youth hunters amd be safe, looks like we'll finally have some warm weather. My son is way past "youth age" and my daughter was never bitten by the hunting bug.....but this will be year 38 of coaching HS football so I get opportunities to take kids wanting to hunt that have no one to take them. Love watching the excitement in them and trying to pass on the hunting tradition to the next generation. I find it so interesting to see some of these kids and their love for hunting/outdoors that neither parent or other relatives had an interest in it.

Unfortunately I won't get the chance to go out with my youth partner, at least this weekend. My company Christmas party was postponed twice with the covid mess and is this weekend finally. I will try to get Luke out a time or two during the regular season.

We've got everything laid out and ready. I don't think we'll need the propane heater tomorrow though. We cruised around a little while ago and saw a group of 5 jakes, a couple hens together, then another lone hen, all on the neighbor's fields within a few hundred yards of our place.
She wants to bring her dog, so I guess we are! It shouldn't cause too much trouble in the blind.

We’re ready too. The boys and gals were out tonight. We’ll be camped out 125 yds from this spot in the morning. I can guarantee if all goes well my daughter will tag herself her 2nd bird ever in the morning then go to thunder over Louisville for the air show and fireworks.

Just had 3 pictures in a row sent to me. Bunch of hens and toms walking into the woods to the left of camera. I think they are going to bed, I think they roost within 75/100 yds of the camera. It’s going to be an exciting morning. I’ll try to get the kill shot on camera.

We’re down to the camper and ready to roll. Not running any cameras but will be in the same spot we both scored last year. Just enjoying time with her is good for me. We’ll report in the morning

Well we had a good learning experience about paying attention. Started to pack up. She started getting cold with the wind. I looked up and A big silent Tom was walking right into the decoys. Stayed for just a couple minutes but she couldn’t get it up. He walked away
