I've got the 36 black stone and got to break it out the other day and it was awesome. I was cooking, chicken breast, thighs, peppers and onions, brats, hamburgers hot dogs and for desert was cooking breakfast cinnamon rolls (note here on the rolls, cook those first since the cooking surface conducts heat very well and mine turned out a little burnt). But I loved every single minute of it. Come to think of it this weekend is supposed to be nice. Think I'll have the family over and cook some food for them. Any suggestions on what you all think I should try next, something off the wall that you normally wouldn't grill? Fried rice is great on a flat top

I bought the 36" blackstone from Walmart today. After paging someone to help get one down from the upper storage rack 3 times and waiting for at least 30 minutes I got fed up. I grabbed a ladder and climbed up. The griddle was a lot heavier than I thought it would be. 168 lbs according to the box. I managed to get it down the ladder and to the ground without dropping it. Tomorrow I'll get it assembled and start seasoning it.

Yeah. Those griddle tops are heavy and aren’t easy to handle on your own. Doesn’t surprise me you had to do it yourself at Walmart though.

I liked mine but it was too hard for me to keep up with and foot print ate up a lot of space. Mine was pretty lid so I built a lid for it that was not ideal.
I love my homemade griddle now. Cooks steaks better than the grill. Griddled sandwiches taste better. Street style tacos. Fried rice. I just got fatter typing this!

I was there the other day and there were 4 cashiers standing around talking while people were using self check-out. I will use a cashier every time I can. Walmart isn't paying me to check out, so why should I do the work?

He apologized and said a $50 gift certificate would be waiting for me at the service desk.

Most of the time, I say thanks, but I wasnt looking for that, just try to fix the problem. I have been making an effort to thank people when they do a good job. I even give a shout out to the crew at Subway. I know I feel good when a customer gives us/me an attaboy for working to make things happen.

Don’t get me started about Walmart. A few weeks ago the wife and I went and did our shopping. We had a cart full of groceries and a case of beer. When the girl scanned the beer she had to get someone to check my I.d. I have no problem with that. Then she asked for my wife’s I.d. which she didn’t have her wallet (she’s 42). The lady then tells me I can’t buy the beer! I told her that I had been in there and bought beer with my kid and she said it was because he was under 21! I left the entire cart sit there and walked out.

Hopefully the manager came along and asked "What's this?"

The griddles are great. I did breakfast for about 40 guys are church last Saturday. Then this week we've done fried rice, burgers, hot dogs, and then chicken Philly subs today. Nothing bad yet.
