Anyone else tried one?
I bought the Sam's version last weekend. I spent the extra $ to get the model that has a stainless hood and fold-down side trays. It was still significantly less than the comparable Blackstone model, yet with more features.
I plan to cook a complete breakfast this weekend and try making "smash" burgers as well.

Please let me know how you like it. I want to get one for the deck I'm planning on building this year.

I am definitely curious about those. I wouldn't mind having one myself.

I’ve had one for a couple years now. I didn’t care for it at first, but now I love it. Can cook so much food on it at once. I didn’t get the upgraded model, because they didn’t have that when I bought it. Just the standard and I did buy a stainless cover for it. Just cooked burgers, Italian sausages, and hot dogs on it last night. Really like chunked up chicken breasts with onions and peppers on it. Just keep it cleaned and seasoned and you will be good to go. I oil mine down after every use.

He got lax or lazy, and didnt keep up on it or take care of it, and it got nasty. So, as long as you are vigilant to use common sense and take care of it, sounds like a cool addition to the cooking arsenal. I used to watch Bruce from Swamp People cook on their Bkackstone for awhile.

I've got a small Blackstone, love it. Kind of a pain to lug around but I like it.

I have a small one I think 22 inhes wide. It is a pain because you have to clean it after and wait for it to cool so you can put it away. I want a big one with a hood or cover so I can clean it and leave it covered then come back with the "cloth" cover and keep it nice. LOVE the food that comes off of it, breakfast is awesome, smash burgers are awesome, philly cheese steaks are awesome, chicken onions and peppers sounds awesome... There is apattern here! I really want the big one!

You will love it, I have the 22 inch Blackstone. We use it at home and for the camper. Make sure you season real good before using it, there is a lot of hype out there on which oil to use, but really dont think it matters Some advise , Dollar tree is you friend, they have a lot of components you will need and want.

I got my son a Pit Boss for Christmas. He said he loves it, he keeps it in the garage and wheels it out to use it. I also got my wife and SIL a stove top griddle that are stainless. Both said you have to commit to use it enough to get it seasoned, now my wife uses hers 3-4 times a week.

I'm been thinking of getting one to go with the Z-grill smoker. Being an empty nester and the size is perfect for the two of us.

Love our Blackstone. Regardless of brand... the main thing is to season it BEFORE you use it. Just like a cast iron pan

Tractor Supply had a 17" version I saw at Christmas time and I took too long to decide to try one. I need to see if they are still carrying them. I figured that size would be perfect for the camper, I'd just get an adapter hose to use a 20lb tank instead of a 1lb tank all the time.

Made smash burgers last night. The local meat shop had ground Waygu for $12/lb. Worth EVERY penny! Lessons learned: -Get a burger press. Using two spatulas was not a good idea. -I cooked an onion and bacon first. Good? No, I screwed it up. I put them on the other side of the griddle to stay warm with the burners on low. Burned them somewhat. Still edible, but not ideal. Leave the burners off next time. -I toasted the buns for too long.
The burgers were very good, but could have been much better.

I had a big Blackstone a few yrs ago. Loved it but slowly cooked less and less. Ended up giving it to my bro-n-law.
Missed having a griddle so got a piece of 3/8 plate. Cut it to size of my gas grill welded sides and handles. It is sweet. Fits on my weber so I have a good cover for it and not another big foot print item.
I looked at it yesterday...needs cleaned but I will wait for when I can turn the water on in my cooking area. Clean it up and release.
Fried rice, bacon-eggs and pancakes, street tacos, hot sandwiches, smash burgers....it is all good

Guess I'm an oddball?
Can't understand why anyone would want to drag all the groceries and gear outdoors, then drag it back in when complete, when everything is real handy in the kitchen?

Doesn’t really take much to cook outside and I enjoy it much more than cooking in the kitchen. So steiny you don’t grill, smoke, or cook outdoors at all?

It'd be pretty difficult to run the smoker in the house........ I'd love to see the size of the range hood over it if you did though!!

Plus I like to have a beer when I'm out cooking. Whether it be in the garage in the cold or outside in the summer. Not the same inside for me. To each their own tho, not for anybody to judge how you run your show.
