I'm on the next ridge or two over from him then. He is a really good, down to earth young man. (Is engaged to a friends daughter.) Probably more reason, moved down here. Lol. I believe his soon to be father in law was a grade below me in school.

To each their own, but I've never even thought about trying to buy someone else's trophy buck. If it's not a buck that I killed, I don't think it would bring me any pleasure owning it. Same here. After seeing all the drama going on with these big racks I think if I ever kill one that big I'd sell it and get a replica. Let someone else deal with the scoring controversy. That type of drama isn’t the norm it would have most likely never happened if it wasn’t sold before it was scored IMO That and it’s rare Typical Deer. The Beck Deer from Indiana was never sold and basically Drama free. A net score of 303 7/8″ placed the Tim Beck Buck in the very, very elite group of bucks that net over 300″, and landed the #2 harvested, non-typical all time record! And shotgun world record. Don’t be turned off by a few Antler folks and controversy man made!

Did meet him and see deer at a deer show in North Vernon that Chris Fishvogt and dad put on. Nice man.

I talked to Tim at the deer show also just a regular guy. Wonder how many times he told his story that weekend.

Keith made a Facebook live video yesterday evening and discussed this buck in the first half. He has the rack back in his possession and shows it in the video. I was able to answer a couple questions during the live feed. www.facebook.com/keith.snider.5/videos/1979169289126159/?mibextid=NnVzG8I still firmly believe the Polaroids are fake. We never had them. Somehow after my dad sold the rack these Polaroids came into existence. We never had any information about a location where it came from. How did someone after us get that location and the pictures of it?

Heard a few months ago that BP now has the original Huff antlers and the final scoring process is Done…..The Huff Buck has been put in the HRB also per sources.

I just listen to the Meat Eater podcast with Huff on it. It was very interesting. He seemed to be a good down to earth guy. Hearing him tell the story was really good. He claimed to only have 300 bucks in his checking account when he killed the buck. His checking account has grown since he put his tag on that deer. He didn't say how much.

Fine young man, was a very good high school athlete and known family for years. He moved to Switz. Co. and married a friends daighter. He actually lives just 10 minites from me now. LoL Glad all the negativity surrounding his buck is finally over. Most was directed at Snyder and not Dustin, but some have questioned his selling of antlers. Not sure at his age , that I wouldn't have done the same, certainly killing the buck has made him a celebrity and benefited him financially. Good for him.
